Accessibility.

We want every parent to be able to read and use this site comfortably.

Our aim

This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. That means readable colour contrast, visible keyboard focus, a single clear heading structure on each page, and descriptive labels on the illustrations.

What we’ve done

  • Text and interface colours are chosen for AA contrast on our warm paper background.
  • Every page can be navigated by keyboard, with a “skip to content” link and visible focus states.
  • The hand illustrations are inline SVG with descriptive labels, no images of text.
  • We respect your “reduce motion” setting: animations are minimised when it’s on.

If something doesn’t work for you

If any part of this site is hard to use, please tell us via the contact page and we’ll do our best to help and to put it right. {{CONFIRM with Holly: add a direct accessibility contact once the inbox is confirmed.}}
